USE KEYWORD SEARCH TOOLS
There are helpful tools that you can use to make money on your blog or website. These are the keyword search tools that I am going to highlight for you here right now:
Google's AdWords
Google AdWords will enable you to discover how much advertisers wants to pay for the keywords that you are interested in. This is what you should do:
Keyword Research
Here is what I learned from www.getpaidtonight.com about keyword research. You can use Google AdWords s program’s keyword tool to do some keyword research. The Google tool can be found here
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
You can also use Google search itself to identify the opportunities. You can search the same “keywords” in the search engine and see spill out for you.
Let us say, you are into Tennis; we will work on a blog about Tennis.
We do keyword research because we want to know which keyword people search for most and which keyword Google pay us most. Go to your browser and type
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
After it opens for you follow the steps below:
Step1: Type in Tennis, and click “Get Keyword Ideas”.
Step2: Find the Show/hide Column button and click Show/Estimate Average CPC.
Step3: Click on Approx Avg Search Volume to sort by most searches.
Now you can see the top keyword is tennis with 9 million over searches per month.
Go to google.com and search with this keyword, tennis.
How many results do you get? 189 million!
That mean you have 189 millions competitors for this keyword - this is a VERY BAD KEYWORD!
What about the second keyword - prince tennis?
Go to google.com and search with this keyword = prince tennis.
How many results do you get? 2.7 million only.
I consider keywords with competitors less than 3 million is a good keyword to work on.
The lesser the better but of course, this keyword need to has good amount of searches per month.
* TO DO NOW: Pick at least five good keywords related to you niche.
* Example: tennis racquet, tennis racket, tennis racquets, tennis apparel, grip tennis.
You should not choose keywords that are expensive. This is because these topics are always competitive. You can do better by choosing niche that are less competitive with cheaper keywords.
Let me also say here that there are topics you can choose that will not receive Google’s blessing. Such topics include ammunition, gambling, firearm, tobacco-related products, alcohol or beer, brass knuckles and butterfly knives, etc. Google will not allow you to place Adsense Ads on such blogs that contain these topics. So have to be very careful so that you throw away your money making opportunity online. If you want more information on topics you wish to may wish to avoid go to
http://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US
If want to get more ideas on how you want your blog or web page to look like then go online and locate similar pages that contain the material that has close proximity to the one you are trying to create. See their Adsense Ads and apply the same to yours. You can also use the free Adsense preview tool to see the type of Ads that are being shown to people in different countries.
Wordtracker
Word Tracker has both paid and free trial version. The free trial version is fairly limited. But I also discover that they allow you to subscribe cheaply for a day or weeks at a time and it is very fast. This implies you can do a lot of keyword research in day. Try this out it will help you a lot.
